Complex special reconstruction of an Overhead Travelling Crane within only 6 weeks

For one week the works on the double girder bridge crane for a paper factory in the Ruhr Area are in full progress. Besides general reconstruction and adaptation works on the steel construction and on the electrical system the altitude difference has to be adapted by one-sided jacking of the crane bridge due to the special situation of the existing crane runways in the paper factory.

Tricky assembly with a time frame of only 8 hours

Already in the middle of September the workshop overhauled crane will have to be assembled and put into operation. In the course of the maintenance works taking place at the same time in the paper factory our TEICHMANN specialists will only have a time frame of 8 hours for assembly of the travelling crane. It has to be assured that operation will restart smoothly afterwards.

The angled construction of the hall will be a particular challenge because the huge segments of the crane will have to be carefully maneuvered through the building.
