32t TEICHMANN gantry crane for new sewer tunnel in Ittertal, Solingen

For the company, Braumann Tiefbau GmbH, TEICHMANN CRANES has delivered a 32t gantry crane with a span of 24m for a civil engineering project in Solingen.

In the so called "Ittertal"-Valley in Solingen the over 60 year old central sewer was to be replaced. With the new 3.5 km long new sewer canal called "Ittersammler", wastewater for up to 30,000 households will b isposed in the future.

The TEICHMANN crane with a lifting height of 55m and a span of 24m will supply the tunnel boring machine with 4m long concrete pipes that weigh up to 30t. The concrete pipes will be lifted by the crane into a 45m deep shaft. In the tunnel, measuring a diameter of 2.40m, the pipes are laid out at a distance of upt ot 40m below the ground using a special propulsion method.

In addition to the gantry crane, TEICHMANN CRANES also delivered and laid out 100 m of crane rails. The construction work at the new sewer canal will be completed by the end of 2022.
