100 t shipyard crane with new location

The shipyard crane of make Peiner, type VDS 1800 that has now been sold had originally been delivered to Flender Shipyard, Lübeck in 1975. In 2005 this crane had been relocated to Lindenau Shipyard in Kiel and until 2012 it was used for building of new ships. After takeover of the shipyard by a foreign shipbuilding group the crane remained the property of a leasing company that commissioned TEICHMANN CRANES exclusively with marketing of the used single level luffing jib crane. Once again TEICHMANN CRANES, disposing of a worldwide network of customers and multipliers, had the opportunity of demonstrating its leading position as specialist for used cranes in the European Market. Due to the very interesting performance characteristics of the crane several international shipyards visited it within a very short time. Also a German shipyard being in search of a substitute crane became aware of the crane. The slipway crane with lifting capacity of 60 tons that is currently in operation in this shipyard has revealed serious deficiencies so that investments for repairs could not be justified. After several previous modernizations the crane for replacement bought at TEICHMANN CRANES is in a very good operative condition and furthermore it enables the new operator to handle still heavier and bigger ship segments with weight of up to 100 tons.
